Bio
Wesley Orion (He/Him) is a Queer, Trans, and neurodiverse writer who lives and works in the Columbus area. He writes to empower his voice and the voices of others with a focus on fostering a space of pure ambition, representations of adversity, and the unity of storykeepers. His passion of writing came from creating stories and poems early on in his childhood. Fondly remembering recording his spoken word on a tape recorder, and discovering the magic of "Word Art" in the Microsoft suite was simply the beginning.Throughout his middle and high school years, Wesley would join any creative writing group he could. He started sharing his writing amongst friends and teachers, being published in his school's creative writing magazines on a number or occasions. Then eventually doing spoken work for school talent shows and attending local open mics. From 2017-2021 he attended Otterbein University for their Creative Writing program and graduated with four undergrade BAs and two minors. Following a small break Wesley went to Kent State for his Master's in Library and Information Science, graduating in 2025.Even since picking up a pencil or making strokes on a keyboard Wesley has been determined to write and share stories with the world. Not only from his own creativity but from the experiences and positions of others. He wants to help form a loving and understanding community through story keepers, story writers, and story tellers.
